Flexible combination of systems with the Solar Intelligent Platform (IP)

One of the newest products on offer at MVIS, the Solar Intelligent Platform (IP) is a highly innovative, mobile product. It allows for the flexible combination of many different intelligent traffic systems equipment and event management solutions, so that users can build a solution that is perfectly tailored to their needs.

With the Solar IP, the customer can create a combination of items from our portfolio of products, including the Vector Integrated ANPR Camera, Portable CCTV and Radar, which can all be accommodated onto the Solar IP. The combination of products integrated in the platform can be easily changed to meet any changes to client requirements.

Using the latest in solar charging systems, the Solar IP can accommodate a 12V, 24V or 48V battery into the solution, as well as new 250W solar PV panels that are designed to optimise ultraviolet light in northern hemisphere locations.

With its environmentally friendly design, the Solar IP does not need to rely on external energy supply.

An innovative Journey Time Solution

For this week’s feature, we thought we’d take some time to feature another new product; the Journey Time Solution (JTS).

The JTS incorporates cutting-edge software and hardware into its system, giving users a comprehensive, affordable solution for all short-term road works projects.

This innovative traffic solution was developed in response to interest from a leading infrastructure services supplier, which serves to reflect our dedication to developing new technologies and solutions in partnership with both public and private sector traffic management organisations.

Its portable design ensures that it can be quickly and easily installed at the required location, getting rid of the need for any civil engineering or external power provision. In addition to this, it enables road users to make informed decisions on how best to minimise the affects of journey disruption. It does this by allowing the user to programme it so that tic an warn road users of delays or the extent of their severity, helping drivers to make an informed decision as to whether it would be more effective to take a different route.

The JTS incorporates the VMS-A, two Vysonics’ Vector integrated ANPR cameras, our Web Studio software and two of our Solar Intelligent Platforms (IP).

The VMS-A and one of the Solar IP’s are placed at the entry to the road works, whilst the other Solar IP is positioned in advance of an exit route. The ANPR Vector cameras gather information and transmit it via a cloud server. The Web Studio is used to display this information on the sign, which gives road users all of the available information and allows them to decide whether they should endure the road works or utilise the exit.

Here at MVIS, we work to provide a wide range of innovative Intelligent Transport Solutions, helping to ensure that motorists suffer as little travel disruption as possible.

We offer a five colour matrix VMS that comprises of red, green, blue, amber and white, which provides a highly effective visual solution. In addition to the display of vivid, eye-catching colours, they also have the ability to display Chapter 8/MS4 pictograms, which can effectively communicate messages without using words. This innovative function is helpful for two reasons, as it helps drivers to interpret warnings quickly and is also good for foreign motorists who do not understand the English language.

The bright VMS displays have been proven to effectively grab the attention of motorists and communicate to them what they should be doing, helping to greatly reduce the emotional implications of traffic congestion.

One of the key benefits of the VMS is that it’s simple to operate with Windows software that can be installed either onsite or from a mobile location. Our VMS are both portable and highly adaptable, in addition to the fact that we use innovative technology in the display system to give solar powered, LED functionality.
